The Andes makes its way through Bolivia with a challenging and beautiful mountain range. Peaks such as Huayna Potosí, Illampu, Illimani or Condoriri join the Apolobamba Range to make way for the Yungas, the gateway to the Amazon rainforest and if you dare, you can make it through the Death Road.

If you hike or climb the snowy peaks there are some hostels along the way, but most of the hikers buy or rent camping equipment. In the Yungas region there are several charming hostels and hotels where you can spend pleasant days.
