Plane: El Alto airport is located 10 km from the center of the city of La Paz. The local airlines that operate are BoA, Ecojet, Amaszonas, TAM and have destinations to Cobija, Cochabamba, Guayaramerín, Puerto Suárez, Rurrenabaque, Santa Cruz, Sucre, Tarija, Trinidad and Uyuni.
Bus: The La Paz bus terminal has several bus lines that operate almost throughout the country but more regularly the departures are to Cochabamba, Oruro, Potosí, Santa Cruz and Sucre. Less frequently to Copacabana, Uyuni, Tarija and to international destinations. The Cemetery terminal has departures to Charazani, Copacabana, Desaguadero, Tiwanaku, Sorata and other nearby provinces. The Minasa (Villa Fatima) terminal operates bus departures to Chulumani, Cobija, Coroico, Guayaramerín, RIberalta, Rurrenabaque and destinations north of La Paz. And the El Alto terminal has departures to Pelechuco and provinces of Lake Titicaca.
Train: There are no trains in La Paz, but there is a tourist train that leaves from El Alto to Tiwanaku and Guaqui once a month.
